Preperations for Lip Blushing
-No alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours
-No blood thinners
-You can’t be pregnant or breast feeding
-No antibiotics 2 months prior
-If you have a scar on your lip, send a photo before your appointment
-If you ever had a cold sore, shingles and herpes simplex for your safety you must take an anti viral medication like Valtrex 2-3 days before, and 3-5 days after having your lips tattooed. This is huge. If you are someone who already gets cold sores, you have the herpes virus living dormant in your system. This means that injury done to your lip tissue can cause a cold sore outbreak. Lip Blush does not cause cold sores, but the injury to the lip tissue can cause the lips to break into a cluster of sores.
-No Botox and fillers 1 month before or after lip procedure.
-Moisturize and exfoliate lips before your appointment
-Do not come in If your lips are dry, chapped or split open the day of your appointment. If you have any of these, please reschedule.

-Take put lip piercings the day of your appointment.
Touch ups are recommended every 2-3 years to prevent fading.

Always wash your hands thoroughly prior to having any contact with your new tattoo. The less contact with the healing tattoo the better.
Eyebrows
Your semi permanent makeup will look very dark and intense the first few days and will gradually lighten. There may be a point where you feel that it isn’t even there. Trust the process, a lot of people have pigment resurface weeks after!!! It takes a full 6-8 weeks to see how your skin resurfaces. Results aren’t guaranteed but I will try my hardest to get them to stay.
Some people prefer the “Bolder” look in the beginning. If that is you, keep in mind that for the second appointment, we can go darker.
Keep eyebrow area dry.
You will wipe the brow with a cotton round every 3 to 5 hours for the next 48hrs. Just a wipe on each brow that’s it. No scrubbing. we want to get the weeping fluid off the skin
After 48 hours you may wipe once in the morning and once before bed.
You will be using oil blotting sheets on the brow area (not directly on the brow) every 2 to 3 hours for the next week and half. This will help get all the oils building around the brow area off, and help ensure for more visible crispy defined lines when healing. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP
Avoid makeup on/around eyebrow area for at least a week, preferably longer.
Do not use an exfoliator on your face.
You can use a wash cloth to clean the forehead area. Use a gentle soap, around your eyebrows. Cetaphil works great.
Do not pick the scabs!
Do not exercise or do any activity that will make you sweat a lot for at least a 7 to 14 days. This is a non negotiable!
Do not thread or wax the area.
Avoid any serums or skin creams in the brow forehead area. It can fade the healing tattoo
Sun exposure can and will affect the semi permanent makeup.
Any changes necessary will be done at your follow up appointment. Your new brows are not complete until after the second appointment.
If you have a reaction to this service. contact a physician.
Lip Blushing
Your lips will appear very dark and bright, but will gain a more tinted natural look once they are healed!
Please refrain from exercising for at least 5 days after your service.
Starting on day 1, please use sterile water and cotton gauze to wipe the affected area. Keep your lips moist at all times, Aquifer or A+D ointment is recommended!
By day 4 most of the peeling should be completed. Your lips will feel dry and chapped, keep moisturized!
After the scabs come off, the color will appear soft and almost ‘frosty’ looking but color will come back little by little every day for 28 days. Keep moisturized!
Do not pick, peel, or scratch your scabs and no makeup until scabs are gone!
Avoid spicy foods or direct contact with foods and drinks for the next 2 days. Use a straw when drinking liquids!
Areolas
Leave bandaged for 2 to 3 hours. Once home wash with warm water, Do Not Scrub! Do not wash with soaps at this time.
The next 3 days wash with warm water only to prevent scabbing. Your body at this time will be pushing out what is doesn't need from the tattooed area as it heals. If not washed off, it can dry and scab up, causing discomfort and possibly pull the pigment. Peeling on the other hand, is normal and is expected since a new layer of skin will form days after the skin is tattooed.
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or Basatrasin on the freshly tattooed area. A small amount of these products should be applied once in the morning and at night, or after each time the area is washed.
Make sure any bra or shirt that touches the area is clean and not skin tight! If able to, wearing loose garments or no bra is highly recommended to prevent friction on the healing area for the first week. Basically let that skin breathe!
Around day 4/5 you may start using a gentle cleanser like cetaphil to wash. Again do not soak area! Just wash and rinse.
No lotions and soaps with perfume should touch the area for 10 days
Once the area beginnings to peel, DO NOT PICK! this will possibly pull the pigment and cause scarring.
Avoid pools, hot tubes, bathtubs, basically submerging the healing tattoo in any type of body of water for ten days.
The less you touch it, the better it will heal.
The pigment used is a cosmetic pigment, it will be its darkest color the first 3 days. Once healed, color is normally 30 to 40 percent lighter. A follow up appointment can always darken the area.
For Breast Cancer Survivors, the course of treatments you have undergone may effect the healing. Its not uncommon for it takes several treatments to achieve desire results.
